COVID-19 POLICY

Trimm Living takes health and safety very seriously.  We are closely following Government guidance and advice in relation to working practices during this pandemic to minimise risk to our clients and staff.

Wherever possible we will replace in-person meetings with virtual meetings by video call (for example via Zoom) or telephone.

WORKING IN YOUR HOME:

We want you and your home to feel safe and cared for whilst we are there.  Where it is not possible to carry out the work virtually and we have to visit you at your home for in-person Declutter & Organise sessions; measuring for window dressings & soft furnishings; or Interior Design services, the following safety measures and precautions will be observed:

1.       If you, or anyone in your household is vulnerable or classified as high risk, or has been advised to shield we are not able to visit your home at present.  We would encourage you to book a Virtual Declutter & Organise session.

 2.       If we are not in good health or are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, within 14 days of our appointment we will contact you immediately to re-schedule our appointment.

 3.       If you, or anyone in your household is not in good health or has developed Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of our appointment, please contact us to re-schedule our appointment.

 4.       If we come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the 14 days preceding our appointment, we will contact you immediately to re-schedule our appointment.

 5.       If you, or anyone in your household, comes into contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the 14 days preceding our appointment, please contact us immediately to re-schedule our appointment.

 6.       We will not schedule appointments within 14 days of returning from any travel abroad.  We ask that you also do not schedule an appointment with us for 14 days after returning from any travel abroad.

 7.       We can confirm that:

• Travel to your property will be by car only, not public transport.

• We will sanitise our hands before entering your property and are happy to wash our hands on arrival. We will wash our hands regularly throughout the session. We will provide our own soap and clean towel.

• We will wear freshly laundered clothes.

• We will wear new, compostable, disposable gloves; freshly washed, reusable face masks (with 99.6% viral filtration efficiency); and observe 2m social distancing, where possible, whilst working.  We carry face shields and may wear these in certain circumstances.  We will also wear disposable shoe covers – we could not source compostable versions at present.

• We carry cleaning products, tools and a vacuum to ensure the area we are working in is left clean and tidy.  If you do not wish us to use these let us know.

• We are rigorous about personal hygiene and mindful of coughing/sneezing etiquette – using disposable tissues, covering nose and mouth, disposing of tissues followed by handwashing.

• We will bring our own food & drink as required.  Food will be consumed outside your home.  Any breaks (up to 30 minutes per half day) will also be taken outside.

• We will take away any personal waste (gloves, shoe covers, etc.)

• We will call the day before our appointment to confirm arrangements.

 8.       We request that you, and any other member of your household who will be attending the session, observe the following:

• Wear a face mask, and observe 2m social distancing, where possible.

• Leave all internal doors open to minimise contact with door handles.

• To the extent possible, keep the area in which we are working well ventilated by opening the windows and doors.

 9.      We will provide services in your home only on the understanding that this policy will be observed, and that you accept responsibility for any risk of contracting Covid-19 despite the safety measures taken.  If you, or any member of your household contract, and/or are diagnosed as Covid-19 positive, after an appointment with us, you will not hold us liable for any injury or loss suffered.

10. We reserve the right to leave a session if, in our assessment, the working environment is not sufficiently safe for our staff and/or our client.

11.   When we schedule an appointment with you, we will send you a request for confirmation that you have read and understood this policy – that you agree to the terms of paragraph 9 above - and will observe the health & safety measures contained in this policy.

Thank you for helping us serve you with safety and your best interests in mind!
