BEDROOM REFURBISHMENT - HOW MUCH?!?
One of the last places homeowners put their attention to are the bedrooms, particularly the master bedroom. Understandably, we want to finish our main entertaining areas so that we can open our doors to friends and family. Our kids’ spaces usually take priority after that and then, lastly, we turn our attention to our own bedroom.

Having a beautiful, finished bedroom can give a sense of peace as well as providing a sanctuary for escaping when necessary. The return on investment in our bedrooms can be more than we could ever have anticipated.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO REFURBISH A BEDROOM?
Just as discussed with the bathroom refurbishment, there is a large range of pricing for all the integral components in a bedroom. Not everything needs to be at the high end of the range to make a bedroom look luxurious and sophisticated. Pick just a couple of pieces that you’ll splurge on and the rest of the items will play more of a supporting role. The key is to plan it all ahead so that the pieces work well together.
What differentiates the high and low variable in a bedroom? Lower priced items will normally be purchased as-is from a retailer whereas a higher priced item will include more custom features such as upholstered bed or custom drapery. Generally speaking, the higher the price, the more selections you’ll be making regarding fabric, stain, metal, etc… and the finer the finish.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match items from each category to fit your overall budget. A lovely custom drapery alongside a retail bed can still create a very high end, finished appearance.
